I live and work in New Rochelle, New York, and every year the City puts on an ArtsFest put on by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts. I always participate and this year will be no different. This year’s festival takes place the weekend of October 6^th and I urge everyone to come out and see what the New Rochelle arts scene has to offer.

I will kick off the festivities this year the night of October 6^th at Sutton Florist at 60 Menorial Hwy, New Rochelle, NY 10801,from 600pm to 800pm. My friends Mildred and Bobby run of the shop and they’ve been good to me over the years, supplying me with flowers for some of my paintings and letting me just generally range around the shop photographing their wares. It’s only fitting then that I will be showing three new paintings there as part of my Open Studio. The works are titled Daphne: Spring; Daphne: Summer; and the as-yet unfinished Boticelli Dreams< My main Open Studio event happens on Saturday (October 7^th at my studio building from 1100am to 500pm at 55 Webster Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801. This year will be a joint effort with two of my friends, collage artist Martha Valenzuela and sculptor and painter Paul Oestreicher.
